SILENT ECHO II

MAY 2 to MAY 31

Paintings by Lia Zuvilivia

Main Gallery

Inks on paper, 2024-26

Contemporary Japanese Jewellery

Cabinet

Contemporary Jewellery by Hatsuko Kobayashi, Atsuko Ito, Misato Seki from Japan, and Keiko Kubota - Miura from New York.

Silent Echo was originally presented at het Labo Atrium in Tokyo in 2025. Silent Echo II at het Labo Brooklyn is an expanded version of the original exhibition, while carrying on the essence of the original. As Hatsuko Kobayashi noted, each artist created works inspired by themes such as “a space to express feelings that cannot be put into words”, "singing the truth that has no form through art", and “fragments of deep emotions that resonate quietly.”

The word “詠” (ei) carries a quiet yet powerful expressiveness that brings diverse meanings to both the creator and the

viewer.

FEB. through MARCH

The gallery hosts Nao Usami (Artist-in-Residence)

Her residency and exhibition are presented as part of the WAN program.
This initiative supports and nurtures Japanese media artists and is made possible with support from the Japan Creator Support Fund.

WAN is an international incubation program that helps Japanese media art practitioners — including artists, curators, researchers, and creative coders — expand their activities across borders.

Through collaborations with overseas art institutions, festivals, industry professionals, and research organizations, the program provides selected creators with opportunities such as residencies, exhibitions, presentations, and networking. These experiences cultivate the critical knowledge, practical skills, and professional networks necessary for sustained international practice.

By supporting creators at pivotal stages in their careers, WAN aims to strengthen the global presence of Japanese media art and contribute to the development of an internationally connected creative ecosystem.
