Participating organizations include Tokyo University of the Arts, Kyoto University Graduate School of Management, Aichi University of the Arts, architect Jun Aoki’s AS, and the Melco Group. Together, they are creating a new platform connecting Japanese culture and creativity with the international cultural scene in New York.

Within DEMO 2026, the program “From Fragment to Form” presents works by Japanese artists exploring themes of fragmentation, repair, and regeneration.

Across technology, bodily perception, kintsugi, photography, music, systems, and interdisciplinary practices, the exhibition reflects a distinctly Japanese sensibility: rather than erasing what is broken, it seeks to create new value and meaning from it.
